To Montana We Go

After a truly wonderful visit home for the holidays, we set out to drive to Montana. Obviously we were a little nervous about driving across the country with a 15-month old and a trailer as well as the large amounts of snow we were sure to encounter along the way. We asked everyone to pray for us on this journey and we know that God provided every single day. 7 days after we left Chattanooga, we arrived in Libby - our final destination. Grace was about as good as possible with the understanding that we were in the car a good 6-10 hours each day. Every nap was taken in the car and every night was spent in a different hotel. Normally, she doesn't sleep well when she is in the the same room with us, but, again, we could feel the prayers being lifted up for us as she slept great the entire time!

The timeline of our trip looked like this:
Saturday - Chattanooga to Memphis, TN
Sunday - Memphis to Tulsa, OK
Monday - Tulsa to Loveland (N of Denver), CO (our longest day)
Tuesday - Loveland to Jackson, WY (simply to see Jackson!)
Wednesday - Jackson to Butte, MT
Thursday - Butte to Kalispell, MT
Friday - Kalispell to Libby, MT (after a long trip to Costco!)

We had such a great time on this trip and wish we had taken more pictures. I think the only ones we got were in Wyoming. This one shows what the sign "Blowing Snow Ahead" literally means:

We are settled into our new home for the next several months and have already reconnected with many friends and our local church home. Of course, everyone was much more excited that we had brought Grace back to them than they were about seeing us :) That's okay though - we are glad that they love her so much!
